If you're one of the estimated 45 percent of Americans who make New Year's resolutions, you should consider how VIPorbit could help you succeed at keeping them. Among all the lists of resolutions people make, there are a handful of very common themes. Losing weight is probably the most common resolution followed by managing money, personal or professional development, and resolutions regarding relationships.

Struggling to Remember? Just Forget About It!

I forget things. I get embarrassed. I turn seven shades of red. When it comes to recalling little details, my mental engines sometimes fail. I’m not sure if it’s age or just the fact that I have accumulated more names, faces, and facts with each passing year, making recall an ever-increasing challenge. I can meet someone face-to-face, turn around, meet someone else, and by the end of that last conversation have forgotten who it was I met only minutes before. I do an absolutely impressive job of forgetting, and conversely, a terrible job of remembering.

Did you know that VIPorbit co-founder and CEO also co-invented ACT!, released in 1987, which created the Contact Management category and is attributed to being the catalyst for the CRM industry? We did. So, it came as no surprise to us when Software Advice, the authority on CRM reviews, asked Mike to write a three-part perspective piece on the past, present, and future of CRM.

Don't Sell Yourself Short: Build a Strong Personal Network

VIPorbit CEO Mike Muhney wrote a blog post not too long ago about the concept that everyone is in sales. You may sell a product or service to clients or patrons…or you may be selling an idea to upper management. The basic concept is true either way. And whether you’re an intelligence analyst, insurance agent, or interior designer, before you landed that first job, you had to successfully sell yourself!

It's Always About the Customer Experience

It may seem counterintuitive, but the focus of your business shouldn’t be on selling a product or service. Doing so prevents you from realizing your fullest potential with your customers. Instead, concentrate on the real goal and work backward from there. What is that goal? It’s the customer experience and making it as positive as it can possibly be.

iPhone 4S Upgrade Misadventures: VIPorbit Export Saves the Day

I was one of the more than four million people who purchased the new iPhone 4S last weekend. And when the very helpful Apple genius asked if I'd like him to set up my contacts, I glanced back at the line of eager customers and replied that I could do it myself. There was a long line of folks waiting patiently, and I had done this a time or two. I left the store confident and full of good will toward my fellow iPhone users.
